Mrs. Gifford practices in the areas of asset protection, estate planning, probate, and guardianships.
Mrs. Gifford obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from California State University, Fresno, where she graduated summa cum laude. During her undergraduate education, she also swam for the Fresno State Bulldogs.
Mrs. Gifford received her Juris Doctorate degree from the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV, where she graduated cum laude. While attending law school, Mrs. Gifford completed externships with the Honorable Elissa Cadish, the Ultimate Fighting Championship, and the Clark County School District. Additionally, Mrs. Gifford participated in the National SportsLaw Moot Court Competition as a member of the Society of Advocates. She also participated in the WilliamS. Boyd School of Law’s legal clinic providing legal services to children and parents in need of assistance with family related legal matters.
Prior to attending law school, Mrs. Gifford worked as a financial advisor and obtained multiple licenses including her life/health insurance license, Series 6 and 63 securities licenses, real estate license, and mortgage license. While working in financial planning, Mrs. Gifford was able to work with CPAs and estate planning attorneys to build comprehensive plans for clients. During those interactions, Mrs. Gifford developed a passion for estate planning to ensure asset protection while developing maximum tax efficiencies for the distribution of wealth to heirs and charities. It was this passion that prompted Mrs. Gifford to attend law school and focus her education in tax and estate planning courses.
After graduating from law school, Mrs. Gifford worked at a large and reputable firm, Marquis Aurbach Coffing, where her practice focused in the areas of estate planning, probate and guardianship. She then took a short break from law to start a family and worked in mortgage. She then returned to law to resume her legal practice with Burdick Law.
Away from the office, Mrs. Gifford enjoys spending time with her husband, Eddy, and son, Beau, and competing in CrossFit.
